Liverpool FC vs Everton LIVE! Premier League match stream, latest score and goal updates today
Mohamed Salah scored the opening goal in the 36th minute of a typically fast Merseyside derby, joining forces with Darwin Nunez on the break just after Everton missed a glorious double chance to take the lead.
Dutch striker Gakpo extended the hosts’ lead early in the second half and scored his first goal in his seventh game for Liverpool since joining from PSV Eindhoven for £37m.
Liverpool started the game after losing three of their last four league games while conceding nine goals and scoring one, while Everton were hoping to turn a corner under new manager Sean Dyche after beating leaders Arsenal last time out.
But Klopp’s side were stronger and sharper than their neighbors, earning their first league win of 2023 to climb to ninth in the table after 21 games with 32 points.
Everton stayed in the relegation zone with 18 points from 22 games.

Mohamed Salah had opened the scoring for the home side and put the finishing touches to a devastating counterattack that hit the post just seconds after James Tarkowski’s header.
