Liverpool news and transfers LIVE – Alexis Mac Allister latest, Dominik Szoboszlai eyed, Ryan Gravenberch claim

Hello and welcome to ECHO’s special Liverpool news and transfer blog on Tuesday 23rd May.

Liverpool still have a mountain to climb on their unlikely road to Champions League qualification and it looks like they will have to settle for a Europa League spot next season instead. Newcastle secured their place in Europe’s premier competition with a draw against Leicester City on Monday night.

As attention turns to the summer window, the Reds are hoping to sign Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton while Jurgen Klopp ponders other options. Mason Mount and Ryan Gravenberch are among them after the club’s original plans to target Jude Bellingham were put on hold.

Elsewhere there are suggestions that Liverpool could sign Harvey Barnes and James Maddison on preferential terms from Leicester City in the event of a relegation. Crystal Palace duo Marc Guehi and Eberechi Eze are also currently making the rounds, while Eze has broken the silence on such rumours.
