Madeleine McCann latest: Woman claiming she’s missing Madeleine McCann shares new ‘smile’ theory
The young woman, who claims she could be Madeleine McCann, has shared side-by-side pictures of herself and Kate McCann suggesting they look alike.
Her latest claims come after it emerged the McCanns had been in contact with the young Pole to conduct a DNA test to check if she could be their daughter.
Madeleine McCann disappeared from her holiday home in Praia da Luz, Portugal in 2007. No trace of her was ever found. She was three years old then.

Julia Wandt, 21, went viral last week after posting on social media claiming she was Madeleine and releasing evidence including moles resembling the missing British girl.
Julia from Poland claims to have a freckle on her leg in the same places as the British girl, a spot on her eye and to resemble parents Kate and Gerry.
Now she has shared comparison photos of herself and Kate McCann smiling. The individual images were posted as a collage on her Instagram page @iammadelemcann, with people suggesting they were similar.
It’s understood the McCanns don’t want to take any chances and find out if the mysterious social media user is in fact their daughter, who has now been missing for almost 16 years.
A source close to the McCanns said: “The family is not taking any chances, they are ready to look at any leads. It is important that they take into account all factors, the girl looks similar. There’s no denying that.
“If what she says is true, there’s every chance she is. It all adds up.”
A family member of McCann’s is believed to have reached out to offer to take a DNA test.
Julia hopes to be in direct contact with the parents of Madeleine, who disappeared at the age of three, in the coming days.
The McCanns were contacted by the Sunday Mirror for comment.
Julia created an Instagram account called @iammadelemcann earlier this week and the profile has now exceeded 370,000 followers.
She said she wondered if she was Madeleine “a few months ago” after hearing “something” from her grandma.
While she says she is 21 years old, Julia thinks her age may be wrong. Madeleine was born in May 2003 which means she would be 19 years old now.
Her Instagram bio says: “I think I can be Madeleine. I need a DNA test.
“Police investigators from the UK and Poland are trying to ignore me. I will tell my story here in posts. Help me.”
In a post published on Friday, the woman claimed she spoke to someone claiming to be Madeleine’s cousin and told her she “may have the opportunity” to speak to Kate and Gerry McCann to arrange a DNA test arrange.
Responding to questions put to her by some followers, the unnamed woman said she had no memory of being taken away and had no recollection of most details of her childhood.
She said: “I don’t remember being taken away. I mean, I don’t remember almost all of my childhood.”
Madeleine was just four years old when she disappeared from her vacation home in 2007 while on vacation in Praia da Luz, Portugal.
The search for Madeleine has been mysterious in recent years, but no trace of her has ever been found.
