According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Celtics will receive Porzingis as part of a three-team deal involving the Grizzlies.

After all, Kristaps Porzingis will not travel to Boston as part of a three-way transfer. ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported Wednesday night that the deal between Porzingis and Malcolm “failed.”

Marc Stein reports the deal fell through due to “concerns” from the Clippers over Malcolm Brogdon’s injury status. However, there is still a chance that Porzingis could be traded to the Celtics as part of a two-team swap.

Wojnarowski reports that the Wizards and Celtics are still working on a possible opt-in and swap with Porzingis, which is set to close Wednesday night. The Clippers will not be involved in such a deal.

The Clippers have reportedly given “various competing teams” the impression that they are at least trying to gauge Paul George’s commercial value. Should the Clippers decide to switch things up, the Trail Blazers and Rockets have been identified as potential trading partners.

George has a player option in his contract for the 2024/25 season. He will soon be eligible for an extension.
