Solina acquires Canada’s Lynch Foods in latest phase of North American expansion
PARIS, March 2, 2023 /PRNewswire/ — Solina, a leading global partner to the food industry developing solutions for great tasting ingredients, has acquired WT Lynch Foods Limited in Canada to accelerate its expansion in the North American market.
Lynch Foods is a Ontario, Canada-based manufacturer of custom savory and sweet culinary solutions for foodservice and industrial markets, generation $95 million CAD (65M €) annual turnover. The Company offers its foodservice, QSR and industrial customers sauces, syrups and dessert toppings in tabletop and bulk quantities for the kitchen, as well as soup and sauce bases.
Like Solina, Lynch Foods offers a wide range of manufacturing and packaging options that provide flexibility to meet customer needs and has been committed to unique, quality flavor solutions since its inception in 1942.
By acquiring these skills, Solina continues the North American expansion that began with the 2020 purchase of Canadian foodservice leader Produits Alimentaires Berthelet. Lynch Foods’ leadership team and the company’s 178 employees will join Solina and bring in Solina’s headcount Canada to more than 315, making it a significant player coast to coast with unique flavor solutions and manufacturing capabilities.
