head coach: Syracuse – Dino Babers (seventh year, 30-43) | UConn – Jim Mora (First Year, 1-1)

Trainer Bio: Mora joined the University of Washington football team as a defensive back and linebacker. He quickly switched to the NFL, where his father had trained with the Seattle Seahawks. The younger More started out with the San Diego Chargers as a defensive quality control coach before taking over as defensive backs coach. He then joined the New Orleans Saints as DBs coach before becoming defensive coordinator for the San Francisco 49ers. Mora then became the head coach of the Atlanta Falcons for three seasons. He was only in charge for three seasons before being fired. Mora returned to coaching with the Seahawks as an assistant head coach before assuming managerial responsibilities for a season.

Mora found his greatest success as a head coach at UCLA, where he had two ten-win seasons in his first three years at the helm of the Bruins. However, Mora struggled later in his UCLA career and was fired midway through his sixth season. His return to coaching comes with UConn, where he spent time getting to know his team as an offensive assistant late last season before taking the reins of the job full-time this season.
