U.S. Open live golf scores, results, highlights from Saturday’s Round 3 leaderboard
The US Open regained some of its toughness on Friday after posting record-breaking results on Thursday, but players were still rewarded for aiming for the flags on the Los Angeles Country Club’s North Course.
At the start of Round 3 on Saturday, 29 players are underperforming. 36-hole leader Rickie Fowler starts his tournament day with 10 under. His score was based on a US Open record 18 birdies in the first two rounds.
Fowler is one shot ahead of Wyndham Clark. These two form the final pairing of the day. Behind Clark is a group that includes Rory McIlroy, Xander Schauffele and Dustin Johnson.

US Open live updates, Saturday round 3 highlights
3:37 p.m.: Patrick Cantlay hits a beautiful birdie in 9th place, rounding out the first nine places on the course. A nice backspin down the slope of the 179-yard hole put him in position.
3:25 p.m.: No 1 have been surprisingly friendly so far on Saturday and Gordon Sargent is no exception. Great shot here over the middle of the fairway to get the day ready.
2:49 p.m.: Sometimes the best way is to get there. Tommy Fleetwood hits a fantastic shot over the trees at #8, giving himself a shot at an eagle. Sometimes the most creative solution is not to get creative.
2:38 p.m.: Abraham Ancer has the answer. He’s taking a textbook approach to getting back into balance. Incredible work on this second recording.
1:23 p.m.: Damn approach by Shane Lowry to position him for an early birdie:
