What channel is LSU vs. Florida on today? Time, TV schedule for Game 2 of 2023 College World Series finals
LSU opened the 2023 college baseball season as the top team in the country and spent much of it atop the consensus rankings. After a swoon, the Tigers appear poised to reclaim the top spot.
Due to a slump in mid to late May, they fell to seventh place in some rankings. But the Tigers have now beaten No. 1 Wake Forest in two straight games and won the first game of the College World Series Finals against No. 2 Florida, putting them just one win away from the seventh national championship in program history.
A mix of familiar and new faces made the headlines after LSU’s 4-3 11-inning win on Saturday. Cade Beloso hit his second home run during the team’s trip to Omaha, this time at the top of 11th place. It proved game-changing. Riley Cooper slammed the door to claim his first CWS win, which came with three saves. Tommy White hit a game-winning home run early in the eighth to keep LSU’s hopes of winning Game 1 alive.
But the Tigers wouldn’t have progressed either had left fielder Josh Pearson not been sitting on the line with a sporting attack from Florida’s Wyatt Langford that stopped the winning run from scoring at the end of the 10th pitch. And if Ty Floyd hadn’t set a CWS nine-innings record 17 batters and calmed a strained LSU bullpen with eight innings of work, the Tigers could be in a tougher spot going into Game 2.
